Special Guest Star

A little grief therapy going on at my place this week. The lady who looked after Sammy last month is herself taking a week’s holiday so we are hosting her little black cat Onyx. After losing my best furry pal it’s been a nice experience to have Onyx here.

Cats are surprisingly adaptable. The little kitty has settled in and is purring away already. She’s made herself at home on the guest room bed, or in the sun at the back of the house.

I was up at 5 AM today feeding her, but I was doing that with Sammy the last couple of years so I don’t mind. It’s only a temporary thing – and I’m sure she doesn’t know it – but Onyx is helping with the healing.
