On the Road (and Sea) Again

Well, looks like it’s time for another leisurely documentation of a cruise holiday. This past couple of weeks we have been traveling and cruising with Dave, Sarah and the grandkids.

Instead of flying anywhere, we elected to extend our holiday a bit by driving to the Cape Liberty cruise port in Bayonne NJ. Because of the number of cruisers and their luggage, we took two cars. Sarah helped the old folks out by driving our car most of the way down and back.

Our first day’s travel took us from Ontario across the Thousand Islands bridge and down Route 81 to Dickson City PA (near Scranton.)

There was lots of shopping near our hotel so Sarah picked up a few vacation togs for the kids.

We also picked up a few snack items to take along. We had a couple of days before Royal Caribbean would start feeding us.

Susannah got busy on the snacks.

While Dave and Teddy got the wifi connected for a few video games.

Pretty soon the sun was setting over the Poconos so we got a restful night before continuing on to Jersey City. Big Apple, here we come!
